S3D Solution — Robot programming, directly on the 3D part
Drawing on these 30 years of experience, I am developing S3D, our 3D solution for robot programming — software that changes the way robotized applications are programmed: dispensing (gluing, sealing), deburring, welding…

Today, programming these applications means hours of point-by-point teaching, with the robot stopped. Teaching trajectories in the simulator is never a pleasure, and the tools on offer are not application-oriented.
With S3D, you can create your pre-project very quickly, with tools made for the job.
Our solution lets you:
- Import your parts and fixtures in 3D (STL, STEP, OBJ…).
- Place frames on these parts — a crucial point in any robot program.
- Draw your trajectories directly on the part, with their process parameters. Dedicated tools make drawing them simple.
- See the complete cell in 3D before touching the robot.
- Set your process parameters to save time in the simulator. Changing them directly drives the simulator, so you get a cycle time very quickly, with precise parameters.
- Export to your brand’s simulator — RoboGuide for FANUC, MotoSim EG-VRC for Yaskawa, Stäubli Robotics Suite for Stäubli: you are guided.
- Export ready-to-use programs to the robot, just as simply.
- Follow production: versioned cycles, validation, history and traceability… Every change is traced and fed back.
All this with an interface designed for the user, not only for the roboticist.
The generated program runs as-is on the robot. Three brands are supported: FANUC, with export to RoboGuide — this is what the carousel above shows —, Yaskawa, with export to MotoSim EG-VRC, and Stäubli, with export to Stäubli Robotics Suite.
The brand is not hard-wired in the software. S3D first produces your data in a neutral exchange format, which an adapter then translates into the robot’s language. Adding a manufacturer means adding an adapter — your trajectories, frames and process parameters stay exactly the same.

S3D is being finalized. Do you have a gluing or dispensing application to robotize? Contact me for a demonstration.
